My position and main responsibilities at LEAP are…

As the accountant for LEAP Housing, it is my job to manage the finances for the company and I do not take this responsibility lightly. All of us at LEAP understand that every donation or grant we receive is not only a transfer of funds, but also an endowment of trust in who we are and what we do. We work hard to ensure that the funds we receive are managed responsibly, legally and ethically, so that we can help as many people as possible to find an affordable space they can call home.

When I’m not working I am…

Spending time with my favorite people in my favorite places. This could be hanging out with my kids at home or marveling at the grandeur and majesty of the Oregon Coast. I can also be found hiking with my partner in the Sawtooth mountains, or you may see us riding our tandem on the Boise Greenbelt (feel free to say hi!)

I’m in nonprofit work, and specifically inspired by LEAP, because…

I’ve worked for many different companies, large and small, in both private and non-profit sectors. Most recently I was working with a few start-ups in the finance industry but was feeling burned out and disillusioned from doing a job that made money, but didn’t make a difference. So, when my best friend sent me the opportunity at LEAP, I literally “leapt” at the chance (Brian is not the only one who can make dad jokes). I understand that affordable housing is an important issue that affects everyone, and it’s exciting to know that what I do each day is actually making a difference in many people’s lives.
