BID FALCON’S LANDING SUBDIVISION PHASE 1

Location: Mountain Home, ID

Kier Construction is seeking subcontractor/supplier bids for a new construction apartment project: Falcon’s Landing Subdivision Phase 1, located in Mountain Home, ID. This is a Kier negotiated, affordable housing project consisting of 60 living units in two 3-Story buildings, with a clubhouse building, and associated site work. The project shall comply with applicable Idaho qualified allocation plan requirements. Buildings included in this phase of work are approximately 60,164 SF; construction anticipated start in September 2023 with a 13-month duration. About Section 3:  Because LEAP uses Federal funding opportunities to help in the construction of affordable housing there is a requirement to have a preference setting for businesses and individuals who qualify under the Section 3 definitions.

Additional Section 3 definition: Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 1701u), as amended, requires that when new jobs or contracts are created as a result of the usage of certain HUD funds (including Public and Indian Housing funds), priority consideration is given, to the greatest extent feasible, to low- and very low-income persons residing in the community in which the funds are spent and to businesses that provide economic opportunities for these persons.
