Make Your Voice Heard on or Before November 3rd, Vote!

As I’m sure most of you know, the 2020 election is now two weeks away from today. We wanted share some voting information so that you know when the deadlines are for certain types of voting and can plan to vote one way or another. If you have already voted or know what you need to do, thank you!

The first step is to check your voter registration at IdahoVotes.gov. You can verify if you are registered, update any changed information and confirm if your absentee ballot has been received by the Secretary of State and accepted as valid.

If you are not registered, Idaho allows same day registration on Election Day (Nov. 3), all you need to do is bring your Idaho drivers licence or sign an affidavit at your polling location on Election Day. Make sure you double check at IdahoVotes.gov.

Here are your voting options:

Absentee Voting (Voting by Mail): You must request an absentee ballot before Friday, October 23.

You will be mailed a ballot that you can fill out, and send through USPS or drop it off at a dropbox location. (For Ada County there is one at City Hall and a few other places, find a dropbox at IdahoVotes.gov.)

Absentee ballots must be received by your County Clerk no later than 8:00pm on Election Day (November 3rd). Either by dropoff or by mail.

Early Voting (In-person): The last day to vote early in Ada County is Friday, October 30th.

You can vote early at the Boise Basque Center downtown or at the Ada County Elections office (400 N. Benjamin Ln. by the DMV). Early voting is open from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday and 10am-4pm on Saturday.

If you do not live in Ada County, you can find your county’s locations and times at IdahoVotes.gov.

Election Day Voting (In-person): Polling locations are open from 8am-8pm on Tuesday, November 3.

Please check IdahoVotes.gov to double check where your polling place is located before heading in. The Secretary of State office may consolidate some polling locations because of COVID-19.If you have any questions contact your County Clerk’s office or visit IdahoVotes.gov.
