LEAP has recently begun taking steps forward in their new Resident Services program. The mission of this program is to bring greater stability for vulnerable households in the Treasure Valley by building community connections and increasing access to supportive resources.
LEAP recognizes that providing affordable housing isn’t the only form of support residents may need. Although housing is a part of a bigger solution, many residents display a need for housing solutions coupled with supportive services to maintain it. LEAP’s Resident Services program operates as a resource network and supports the resident according to their specific needs or desires. The resources and services provided are intentionally designed to increase housing stability, promote self-sufficiency, and enhance the overall quality of life for the resident.
One way that Resident Services helps increase housing stability is by connecting households to classes or a training that residents express interest in. These classes may cover a multitude of topics, including: home ownership, job development, or household budget training.
Although Resident Services is still in the development stage, we are encouraged to see how these services are already benefiting our residents. Each day we are finding more and more ways to advocate for and support our residents.
This is just the beginning for Resident Services, but we are excited to continue building out this program to further reach and serve families in the Treasure Valley.
We are still looking for organizations to partner with us and help provide these supportive services. We invite you, your business, or organization to be a part of creating greater stability for families in the Treasure Valley.
